She got up to start on her work for the day and once she was gone Cass spoke up.
"I know what's going on, and word to the wise for both of you, honesty is something Ana highly values, especially with close relationships. So this rivalry you two seem to have over this? It is funny don't get me wrong, but I would suggest getting over it. Zale? False polite and kindness just to spite your brother is only going to lead to anger and hurt for Ana. It isn't worth this small amount of joy you're getting over this 'victory' you don't mess with people like that. It is plain cruel. Merrik? If you really have begun to reconsider this deal then you need to be honest with their majesties and be honest at least with yourself if you have begun to develop feelings for Ana. If the truth doesn't come out from you two, then it will come out from me and that will be much worse."

Merrik sighed running a hand through his hair as Zale got up
"How the hell did you?... You eavesdropping bi-"
"Zale" merrik snapped "don't talk to her like that. It makes no difference if she knows or not but if you finish that sentence you will regret it"
Zale glared at him and just left fuming as he went out.
Merrik looked over at her "it makes do difference of my feelings she wouldn't like me just as much as she doesn't like my brother. The only mistake I see I've made is her not having a choice in who she marries. If she expresses to me herself wanting to call off the engagement I will gladly do it "

"I don't care if you finish that sentence or not," Cass shrugged.
"Look she wouldn't express it to you anyways, she doesn't know you, but if it came down to it that she really can't then she would probably go to her parents who would suggest a new deal I would guess. As far as whether or not she would like you is up in the air. It seems you get along just fine and maybe even have some things in common?"
