"Yeah, she used to travel before she met my father, got them from everywhere. Now she just stays at home being a typical noblemans wife and.has people bring them from everywhere"

"I wonder if she misses travelling and isn't permitted to do so? Or still follows such beliefs?" She mused.
Plenty of noblewomen are raised on the old traditions and matched with men of those old traditions as well, of the wife basically being their husband's property and though many laws around that have changes many still held those beliefs.

"How long have you been here?" She asked curiously
"I'm not sure. She didn't spend much time with me for me to ask, though she did try. My father got in the way, said I had nanny's for that"

Astrid made a disgusted face at that, "typically that is also what parents are for, nannys are to help not be the parent. I wouldn't have let anyone get in my way of caring for my own child, but those old beliefs can have a tight hold on people's behaviors."

"And I can tell you seem to like it here"
He sighed "Yeah, I thought my nanny was my mother. I could tell it broke my mother when I looked at her and didn't know who she was. Since then I vowed I would never do that to my own children or there mother"

"I like it pretty well, there are worse places to be and Astrid has become a good friend, kind of like a little sister," he nodded.
She gave a soft smile, she liked that, it was sweet and though with her position she would have to have some help from staff she didn't want it to be constant either.
"I want my children to know their parents too, have real family time and teach them and see their firsts l, have them close and they never need to question if their parents love them."
