She wasn't sure herself but recognized the look in her dad's eye, he was planning something.

He could tell his father seemed very pleased so he had an idea om what was happening as well "I'm sure we are thinking it's the same thing aren't we?"
She nibbled on her food quietly thinking about what he said, she didn't understand why a princess would want to be friends with her anyways. She was disposable after all that's all she ever knew and was ever told. The only thing that made her feel better is that maybe the princess could help her find her mother again

"Most likely yes. At least to me they think we're a match so planning to try and arrange us together. Probably going to ask you to stay for a little while and with what I know of your father he will volunteer you," she mused.
He let her take things in a resumes eating as well, though hopped up to get them some dessert, returning with a slice each of chocolate and vanilla cake as well as two different pudding flavors so that she could try them.

She looked at the cake "I've never been allowed chocolate before"

"You know what? I wouldn't be surprised if my father did the same, be he has already made it to the top when he married my mother so it wouldn't be necessary," she sighed.
"Well now you are," he scooted her plate to her.

Alex looked over at his father who was now look in his direction again "yes father?"
"You will be staying for a few days" he explained and Alex just nodded "alright"
She took a bite and probably lit up like a christmas tree "this is the best thing I've ever had"

"He will be staying in the guest suit in your wing Astrid," her father added and she just smiled and nodded.
"I'm glad you like it," he grinned.

"That is pudding, this one is banana flavored and this one is butterscotch," he pointed them out.

He looked back to his father trying is best to hold a smile as they finished whatever discussions they needed to have

She resumes eating and let them work out the details of what they assume is a good match.
He chuckled, "yeah I guess it does. It is good though."

He went back to his food not enjoying his father once again trying to plan his life for him

"You can try it if you want," he scooped some onto her plate.
