Overcoming the Darkness

"Thank you so much" Bella said before following after her brother to cabin number 4

She also had given them a map of the small campus that held campsites for tents, a bathouse for that section and then the cabins section.
Each cabin had about two acres of space between them from side to side with two rows of fourteen total starting with one ahead on their left, odd numbered cabins on the left and even on the right where the cabins were diagonally sat so that there was still plenty of space and they were tucked a little lower on the hill. The trail made a turn at cabin seven to go up higher and to the other cabins with the same pattern.
Nova was at the end in cabin seven and was currently laying out on a hammock, in her natural appearance with colorful hair.

"I'm going to take a walk" bell said setting her bag down
"That's not a good idea"
"I'll be fine seriously" she said with a huff before walking out of the cabin towards a little wooded area, she wanted a chance to practice

Their cabin was a two bedroom, two bathroom set up with an small open living room and kitchen area and heated by a wood stove in the winter.
Jett was doing his own practice, mostly with shadow travelling which was the hardest for him to master in new locations while Nova was out in bird form flying around, her base feathers were blue with pink and yellow accented feathers.

Bella sat down on a log with a sigh and held out her hand conjuring a small little butterfly made of pure light, she could do large amounts of them when she was so exhausted but after her day one was all she could manage

Jett could feel the light as it was used, it called to him so he followed until he saw the butterfly and who was making it.
"Ooo, I knew it, I knew I felt the light in you," he stepped out with a smile.

Bella jumped up from her spot startled by his appearance and her back hit the tree as she stepped away "what-..where did you come from "

"Oh down the path over there, sorry to startled you. I'll stay right here. I can tell you about your powers and teach you how to use them. If you want to wait for your brother to be around that's fine."

[~Amber~]

"I-"
"What are you doing here?" Bell looked over to see Enzo,and he did not look happy to see him at all
"Enzo dont"
"Go back to the cabin Bell"
She sighed and pushed off the tree "fine"

Jett leaned against the nearest tree with an eyebrow raised, "what's with you and your sister? You're treating her more like your toddler than your sister."

Bell walked away with a sigh before he spoke "because that "gift" she got from our mother who is now dead because of it. And if you haven't noticed but she gets a lot of unwanted attention and I don't think any brother would take to well to some strange man walking up to her in the woods"

"My cabin is closer I have every right to be out here too and was doing my own practice. My point is that ability ran in my family for over ten generations, we have a lot of information about it that I spent most of my time studying. I know how the Light works. I knew she had it as soon as you two walked into town. I sense it."

"Only one family had it before this, so youd jave to be....that doesn't matter she doesn't need to use it for anything that could get her hurt." Enzo was extremely protective of his sister, she was all he had left without her he had nothing. And he wasn't about to let some prophecy or whatever he's heard cause him to lose her

"Ooo! The Lightbringer?" A voice from above asked excitedly.
Jett looked up but only saw a bird that was oddly colorful for this region that is until the bird jumped off and landed as the woman he had seen in the square though this time her hair was multicolored too.
"Is it prophecy time?" She asked.
"What the hell? That's an ability I've never seen."

"No bird girl it is not prophecy time. Leave Bell out of it" Enzo said before turning to walk away
