She plopped down next to her and looked at the ocean, seeing horses made out of water in the distance. She wondered if Melina could see them.

A man in a jogger outfit went by and winked at Zaltana and a pair of small snakes poked their heads out of his pocket. He stopped and dropped a letter at her feet and continued on.

"A friend of my dad's, drops letters off from him every so often but doesn't usually have time to talk." Zaltana explained, which technically was true since Hermes was usually too busy to talk.

She opened the letter and skimed through to make sure it didn't give anything away, it didn't so she read it aloud. Her dad was asking if she was visiting during the summer solsitce and just how she was doing in general and if Jacob was going to visit and how he was doing and appoligising that his mom didn't send him a letter yet and that it should get to him soon.
