"Okay this is an activity called "If you really knew me." You can write as much or as little as you want but each sentence must start with "If you really knew me" and you can say anything you don't mind sharing with everyone else because you will read them out loud. If you don't people to know anything about you then you can say ,"If you really knew me then you would know that I don't want or have anything to say." All of them must be written down and turned in." He explained.
"So start writing and put your pencil down when you're done so I know wo is still writing." He said.

Mia sighed and started writing hers looked like this:
if you really knew me you'd know I'm not what I seem
if you really knew me you wouldn't think I'm perfect
if you really knew me you'd be able to see everything and know everything, I don't hide
if you really knew me you'd see beyond the mask
if you really knew me you would know what I'm talking about
if you really knew me everything would be different, but you don't know me or the truth
she likes to make things seem so hard to understand and yet they still make you feel bad

The started to read them out, one girl started reading hers.
"If you really knew me you would know that everyday I wear a mask to hide my true feelings. If you really knew me you would know that I was homeless all last year because my uncle tried to kill me. If you really knew me you would that I try to look at the good things in life. If you really knew me you would know that my parents killed each other and I was put into my uncle's care....." She trailed off and became silent. A lot of the students you wouldn't expect to hear things like this from.
"Next." He said to see who wanted to read theirs next.

After everyone else had read theirs he siad, "Mia, you need to read yours too if you wrote it down then that says that you are okay with reading it." He said kindly.

The bell rang so he asked the students to bring up their papers. After the students were gone he sat next to her in a desk and said, "If I really knew you I would know that you are shyer than you seem to be at first few meetings."
