Things are Not Always as they Seem

Nico gave river a smile and Jericho leaned back in his chair paying no attention

"And I have started something new this year. Since we have the rules out of the way and we still have time I decided that if any students have any quiestions, about anything, they can ask and whoever is asked has to answer truthfully. If the questions are too personal all they have to do is say so and they can skip the question or answer it another time." He added and added to River that she could go back to her seat.

Jericho yawned and flicked a peice of paper at the kid next to him

"Miss Cooper, where are you from? And where did you move from?" One random girl asked.
"Um I was born in Italy and moved here from Hungary." She answered, suprised that someone sopke up and asked her, of all people, a question about herself.
"Why did you move here if you lived in such a cool place like Hungary?" She asked.
"Needed a change of scenery." She lied smoothly and some kids asked Mr. Stewart and each other questions.

"what kinds of things do you do?" Nico asked wanting to talk about anything besides math

(yeah, so things like whatever you called it gypsy stuff)

"I play music, sing, read, help out at my family's bookstore...well half bookstore have fortune telling stuff kind of store." She said.
"So like a Gypsy store?" Someone asked.
"Gypsy is the derogitory term for my people, we prefer Roma, we refer to our people that give us a bad name as Gypsy's, but when others use it to refer to us as a whole it is derogitory." She explained calmly.
"Oh, okay sorry." She answered.
"It's okay." She answered.

Jericho growled, his chair skidded out and he walked out of the room pretty much slamming the door behind him. Nico sighed "great."

"Did I say something wrong?" She asked nervously.

Nico sighed "sort of." he said said getting up to go after Jericho

The bell rang and she grabbed her stuff and dashed to Musical Theatre, which was on the opposite side of the school. She felt bad, but couldn't really figure out what she had said wrong.
Unless....damn it I have a class with someone wo is prejudice against my people. She thought.
"Well this day is starting off just super of a first day." She muttered sarcastically as she went into the theatre room.

Nico was sitting on the steps that were in the theater room. he looked lost in thought

She sat in a random seat and a girl skipped up to her.
"Hi, you must be new, I'm Kelsey." She said. She was about 5' 8" and dacer's body with dark hair and the perfect tan. She sat next to River.
"Hi, I'm River, nice to meet you." River answered with a small smile.
"So where are you from?" Kelsey asked smiling brightly. River could tell that Kelsey was the kind of girl who was smart, talented and obviously beautiful, but was very modest about it and very kind to others. Finally someone who she could easily get along with.
"Europe." River answered.
"That is awesome, oh and I am going to go ahead and tell you now, I have a swearing problem, so I'm really sorry if it offends you. I am working on it." Kelsey said.
"Don't worry I have that same problem." River said with a smile.

Nico looked up at them and sat back with a sigh wondering if Jericho had just up and left school now, which is what he actually had done
