He sat and watched.
She laughed, it sounded hollow, no real humor in it.
"That will never happen, not with someone like me. If I weren't void of positive emotions then I would say I appreciate the concern. It's a waste of breath and energy to say something like that to someone like me. It's best not to waste your kindness on a demon, under normal circumstances I, and any other demons, would take advantage of it. Reserve your kindness for those who deserve it, you'll be happier that way." She responded
