Annabeth went back to being her eccentric investigator self, running around doing things for the investigation in her own unique way. She spent much of her time for the next two days shut in her room.
Alice walked down the road staying out of the house while her friend was like this

"Are you willing to bet on that?" She asked, it was her way of being a protective friend. She knew Annabeth was a hard person to be around because people never knew how to deal with someone so eccentric

"Would you be willing to bet on you saying that you could handle Annabeth. I know how eccentric she is so if you say that you could handle that at the worst of times then you would have some respect from me. It's hard for me to be a protective friend when she can beat someone up herself but if you can bet on being able to stand Annabeth even at the worst of times then if it turns out that you can't then you lose a bet." She explained
