They went to bed and slept until one in the afternoon. Annabeth immediately got up and walked to the station to talk to the officers

They didn't have anything more. Alice was at the morgue to gather evidence there before heading home.
Annabeth came back later that evening and sat on the steps of their front porch reading a book

"Is it really a good idea to be sitting out here and reading? This isn't our old neighborhood, we're in the middle of a city and you're sitting outside with shops, restaurants and strip clubs as our neighbors." Alice said poking her head out of the living room window.
"When have any of my ideas even been considered "good" by the average person?" Annabeth asked not even looking up from her book.
"Touche." Alice answered

She tossed the book to the side, moving on the the next. Books littered the porch and the most recent one fell onto the sidewalk. She noticed this and got up to get it and gathered up the other books she's already gone through

"I guess so." She answered taking a gulp of an energy drink, the kind that was insanely unhealthy because it was jacked up on caffeine, sugar and ginseng before taking a sip of coffee.
