he looked at the girls as they hopped down "just want you to know since because your the first male she's making something for you'll be seeing a lot of her so she's not going to treat you like royalty. your a man so she will be cold and nervous in your presence probably not something your used to since well look at you king or not girls would jump for you." he smiled as the girls got back "have fun?"
Cassie nodded "yes...i would like to get a pony."
Cole sighed "Cass you know you cant."
she said nothing as she looked at the horses again "...i want a pastry."

"Come on I saw a stand that looked like they had some good pastries." Riley said pulling her off to the stand nearby.
"I prefer to be treated as a normal person....but cold and nervous? Has she had bad experiences with men in the past?" He asked

Cole looked over at Cassie then back at him "she was abused in the orphanage by the ex caretakers husband."

Cole shook his head "she will need to get used to her, come on use some of that pretty boy charm on her and she'll warm up to you. it's how i did it when we were kids she hated me at first."

How is that different from leading someone on? He wondered and decided against trying it for now. He'd rather be himself and let her get use to him as himself.
