Kendal ran a long into the wooded area surrounding the borders of the countries, she never knew of where her land ended and where the other began but she didn’t mind. She had her bow around her shoulders and a bunch of arrows so she could practice, her heart would never let her harm anything innocent but to protect herself she needed to know.
Sucking in a deep breath she pulled her bow from her back and an arrow from the quiver and took aim upon a small target laid against a large oak tree.

Liam headed out of the palace that was not very far from the border where it and the country further north of them, met. Once he was clear of the grounds he started on his usual run along the paths of the wood. He wasn't completely sure where the border was, however he didn't mind if he met anyone of the other kingdom, despite the occasional tensions.
Occasionally he heard the sounds of animals pittering by but something else cause him to stop his run as an arrow sailed by his head and embedded itself into a tree just beyond him.
"Woah there!" He exclaimed.

she put a hand over her mouth "oh my goodness i am so sorry i didn't know anyone else was out here." she went up to him quickly "it didn't nick you at all did it? im so so sorry." she was looking him over making sure he was okay and just couldn't stop apologizing for the arrow whizzing past him

"Oh, um no it didn't. It just startled me is all. I wasn't expecting to find anyone out here either." Liam replied and stopped as the girl approached.

she turned a pulled the arrow from the trunk "well i have never seen anyone out here, no one dares come out this far." she turned a finally looked at him meeting that handsome face and those beautiful green eyes. feeling her cheeks heat up slightly she turned back to the tree "at least i know to look before i shoot now"

"I usually come out earlier in the morning for my run, but I had more pressing matters to deal with beforehand. Though I suppose it was lucky ask I had the chance to meet a nice stranger." Liam replied with a smile.

she looked back at him "nice isn't exactly the first word you should use describing an unknown stranger who almost shot you with an arrow." but she smiled slightly leaning back against the tree "but anyone else who comes out here to clear there head cant be all bad." she held out a hand to him "my names Kendall"

she looked up at the sun peaking through the tree tops"any other reason your out here? or just taking a run? this is pretty far out just for a run if i do say so myself."

"i'd be careful, the border really cant be far from here." she looked down and kicked the dirt "only god knows what would happen if anyone was caught on the other side." she heard bells chime in the distance and quickly straightened "I have to go." and with that she took off into the dark tree's she couldn't be late again she's been late enough.

"It can't be that bad, I mean sure there has bee tensions, but would someone really hurt someone for getting close to the border?" Liam replied in disbelief.
"Alright, it was nice meeting you, perhaps we will see each other again." He added before she took off and continued his run.

she quickly made it back into town, she wondered who he was she would have remembered seeing a man that was anywhere near as handsome as he.
"just in time Kendall." her mother said as she ran into the door panting trying to catch her breath.
"yeah i know, i'm 18 mother a little less curfew would be nice." she grumbled walking into her room

A little while later Liam returned home as well, greeted by his brother and sister.
"Where have you been? Mother and father have been looking everywhere for you, you know." Riley complained. "We've had to hear about it."
"Well I was avoiding them everywhere." Liam joked as he headed to their parents' study.

she laid in bed staring out the window, her thoughts drifted to Liam, wondering if she would once again meet him in the woods. Kendall stuffed a pillow over her head and groaned "what is wrong with me?"
