"Humans fear death because they do not know if there is anything after death and they fear helplessness. With age in humans comes their body no longer able to function so it renders them helpless and they cannot do anything for themselves. They probably desire being young and immortal both because it is highly romanticized in their media and because of their fears of what comes with mortality."
