They reached the port by morning and some crewmen were set and ready to be on land for the day, working on trade or looking around for something fun to do.
When Eliza woke up the next morning she noticed a few more ships had come into port, her spirits lifting slightly. There hasn't been any good work for a few weeks and she was about to run out of money for food. Plus it was another chance of hope, very slim but slim was better than nothing.
This could be the day I can get a ride out of this cess-pool place.
