"How did it go?" Her mother asked excitedly.
"It...didn't."
"What happened?"
"He was a no show. I guess it was too good to be true, either changed his mind or some kind of bad luck working against me." She replied with a shrug.
"Are you going to see him again? If you do you should ask. I mean if he changed his mind or something he would avoid you right?" Her mom replied.
"I guess you;re right. If I do see him again I'll ask. But it still sucks to be stood up."
"It does."

the next morning he knew his father was in a meeting and quickly got out of the house looking around for her really wanting to appologize

Kayla was back a the bakery the next morning putting out the loaves of break people came for early in the morning.

Kayla was surprised to see him so soon, wondering if her mom really was right, if he purposely stood her up he would avoid her.
