He glanced up at the arrow and pulled it out of the tree. "I assume that was a warning. I'm certain if you wanted to kill me you could have." He remarked.
"Would you maybe want to come talk? We aren't here to do any harm." He added.

"I'll kill you if you lay another hand on her" he said, almost growled "they said you guys would try to take our women and seduce them seems you've done that, what else are they right about!"
"milliner stop " she said trying to make sure milliner has no chance at hurting james, he wouldn't shoot him again if she was in front of him

"Wait what? We just came hear to learn about a new place. Besides she's perfectly capable of making her own decisions."

"doesn't look like it you were pretty comfortable" he said gripping his bow tightly "she is going to marry me she has no say in being around the likes of you even if she likes you "

"Why doesn't she get to pick? You don't seem very nice to her at all, what makes you worthy of someone as kind as her when you're standing here treating her like she has no thoughts or feelings? Do you really want your future wife to be unhappy like that?" James questioned, he did not like seeing someone treated this way and would not stand by and just watch.

"getting the most beautiful women in the villiage is an honor, and when she's in that position she gets no choice in her life her father decided. she'll be happy....eventually " he said and kalani shook her head "no I won't be"
"Why kalani? because of capitan blue eyes here? he who you want ? do I have to get rid of him to make you love me?"

"Believe me killing me won't help your case. If anything it would make her even more unhappy. Maybe if you calm down and listen to her, respect her it'll help both of you. " He said.

"I'm not marrying him" she said crossing her arms

"oh really?I'm not able to marry anymore,so I can't marry you now" she lied staying close to James as milliner looked shocked and appalled

James was confused but decided it was best not to show it until he could ask her later.

"That got him running...what did you mean by that?"

"Well to be married you have to be ah pure, so I told him I wasnt, we should get out of here before he comes back"

"You implied that we have...? ...Um okay then...but wouldn't that get you into even more trouble with your people if such a thing is so important?"

"Well yeah but I don't care anymore, they wanted to force milliner on me and I don't want him " she said walking deeper into the woods "my father knew I hated milliner he's so arrogant and hot headed"

"Why would your father try to make you marry someone he knew you hated? Would he not want you to be happy?"
