She mostly paced in a circle and though she did not yet realize it she was in fact changing, becoming shorter and gaining feathers and she was a full phoenix by the time she noticed.

Immediately she popped back to normal and scrambled back. "Are you crazy? I'm not getting in that thing. I've had enough of things like that for one lifetime, Don't tell me they actually require it?"

"Wait a minute okay?" She grabbed his hand and quickly pulled back, not necessarily because of the cold but out of embarrassment.
"How do you want to get there? If you want to take a regular plane then fine, I'll figure something out. You don't have to go through a bunch of trouble for me....I don't see why you're even still sticking with me, you could have just stayed home. I can do enough on my own now."
