"Oh how'd I guess most law enforcement like coffee " she said opening the door to a coffee house she typically went to and was greeted with a grin by the boy at the counter "well hellooooooooo juliet" he said in a flirty tone and she rolled her eyes "never going to happen just stop there"
one of the girls shoved him away "hey jules...who's your friend? "
"oh uhm this is shane, Shane that's brie we grew up together."
"Well nice to meet you Shane what did you two want? well I know what she gets but I haven't seen you around here before"

"Only because we don't sleep, we replace sleep with caffeine and sugar." He replied and walked in with her.
"Regular coffee with sugar and cream on the side please." He replied and paid for their drinks.

"hey I didn't say you were paying for it" she said looking up at him with a hand on her hip
"Juliet trying to pay that's a first" the other girl said and Juliet rolled her eyes

"I know you didn't, but as you said you've got rent to pay for and bills I'm sure."

"only when she doesn't have some rich boyfriend for the month to pay her bills" brie said handing them there coffee, Juliet took hers "okay stop making me sound terrible infront of him I'm not that bad" she said before going to sit down

He shrugged. "I don't care, you live your life how you want to, none of my business as to what you do or why you do it. Unless you're hurting someone, then I make it my business."

"besides the heartbroken men I haven't hurt anyone" she said sipping her coffee "so did you always want to be a detective? "

"I'm sure they moved on, believe me most rich guys can do that pretty fast." He answered.
"I don't know if I would say always, but at least since I was in high school, though my parents would rather I followed in one of their footsteps but I didn't want that."

"Well you've got to do what you want" she smiled at him "at least they are letting you do what you wanted to"

"Took a few arguments and fights but yes. Lucky for me my sister wanted to follow my dad's path." He said. "What about you? Is this what you wanted or do you have other career ideas?"

"where I grew up I never really was given much of a choice, I'm lucky I even finished highschool. this is not what I want to do but it pays the bills and keeps me living somewhere far away from my childhood " she set her cup down "was a stripper or I could sell myself like my mother had "

"Well you have other options, just depends on what kind of lifestyle you feel the need to have. Starter kind of jobs won't keep you living an overly cushy life but you're not regularly dancing on creepy men and taking your clothes off for them or maybe room with someone you trust and split bills and things so you can have some time to train for something you'd like to do?"

"You sound like my father, If I had one but you know what I mean anyways." she took a sip of her drink "i wouldn't know what to do, all I'm good at is what I do now which is as you said dancing and taking my clothes off. that and seducing men into doing what I want, I must say your the first it hasnt worked on"
