"So was she ill or something?"

"My brother says she was, I am not completely sure since no one really was permitted to see her. Claimed it was contagious. I never know when I can believe what either of my brothers tell me because they would always lie to me growing up or trick me."

"Why could I have to marry someone like you? someone who I wouldn't fear for my life with"

"I apologize. Though your life is not presently endangered. But if you're uncomfortable with anything going on you can tell me. I'll see what I can do."

she relaxed a bit next to him for the first time since she got there "I could just kiss you right now you have no idea how relieved I am to be able to have someone here to relax around "

"I would not advise acting on the kiss, though I am glad that I can help keep you comfortable."

"Because I have to marry your brother or because you don't find me attractive in that way?" She asked curiously when they stopped at the door that would be her room. she smiled at him which one would it be hm?" she'd always been very flirty when around boys closer to her age that she found to be as cute as he was

"My brother would not appreciate it." He replied, choosing his words carefully as a guard walked by, giving a nod in acknowledgement and James nodded back.

she looked at the guard "..right well I suppose I should go relax after that trip."

He opened the door for her where her things had been unpacked and put away. She had her own room though it was connected to the king's. The door connecting them was presently sealed though and would not be opened until they were married.
"You are lovely though, but saying that may not sit well with Ethan either." He said softly so that only she could hear.

she stopped and turned to look at him , a slight red tinting her cheeks "Why couldn't it be you? that I could live with"

He smiled sheepishly. "I think I could have lived with that too."

she shut the door behind them and leaned against it with a sigh staring at the ground "i don't want to marry him, marriage means sharing a bed marriage is a sexual relationship I don't want it to be the first time and it to be with a man like him"

"I am sorry....perhaps things can change, and you will not always share a bed, this is your room even after marriage....I feel like something good will come out of your being here."
