"So I'm guessing the old man did know exactly who you are but since you didn't tell me he wasn't going to"

"Not really. Most people in town just know me by face and family, not by name or anything like that. It's better that way."

"I see...and is that family your hiding from here? is that why you always wear that mask?"

She shook her head. "Not really, I mean the first time we met was at a masquerade ball and this week it is a costume party....I just don't have anything else for such things. I do not really believe they would recognize me, but it is also a good idea to be safe than sorry. Looks like you are about to have a visitor by the way." She replied and took a step back as her step father and step sister approached.
"Ah hello your highness, I am the Count of Eastford and this is my daughter Victoria."

he smiled and took Victoria's hand kissing it "it's a pleasure, Victoria is a beautiful name and very fitting for you"

Victoria smiled. "Oh why thank you, your highness, you are quite handsome yourself. I hope we are not interrupting anything?" She replied, though her expression and tone were not sincere and she did not let go of his hand.
"Of course not, excuse me." Cindy said quickly before ducking off into the crowd.

lilanna noticed and snuck off to go after her "hi, so your the girl my brothers been running around looking for?"


"I hope you don't mind if I steal her for a dance do you?" he asked Victoria's father, he didn't exactly want to but he didn't want to be rude and run off after someone else when this girl obviously seemed to want him to dance with her or something

"Um....I guess so? At least that is what I have been told." Cindy said after she turned to her and briefly glanced over at him.
"But, uh, I'm not worth that kind of trouble."

"Of course not go right ahead." He replied and Victoria smiled, eagerly going to the dance floor with him.

she sighed "he did say you were a little hard on yourself like that, but you must be something special if you have my brother acting like he is"

he bowed and took her hand and the other on her waist "so Victoria, how old are you exactly?" he questioned just to have something to say

"It isn't being hard on yourself if you think it's true." She answered. "Besides, it looks like someone else got his attention."

"I am nineteen, and you? How old are you?" Victoria asked, stepping a little closer so that their bodies were touching and had a firm grip on him, though kept her pleasant smile plastered to her face.

"Oh please her? as if she's not his type and seems way to clingy....why don't you head down the hall 4 doors to a pair of white double doors on the right and I'll be right back" she said opening the door shooing her into the hall before going to her brother "I hate to interupt the cute couple here but we have a problem Carson I need your help"
"what happened is everything okay?"
"uhm well define okay"

Cindy was taken off guard by suddenly being pushed off into the hall. Once her confusion subsided she did as was told and went to the double doors, though had no idea what for and waited.

Victoria scowled for only a second and her smile was back. "Oh, well duty calls right? Perhaps we can finish our dance later. A pleasure to meet you in person." She gave a curtsy before heading off in another direction.

"What's going on?" he asked following her into the hallway "but thanks for getting me away from her she was a little to much"
she rolled her eyes and opened the doors to the room she left her to go to which was just a large lounge area
"you can thank me later...preferably with chocolates from that man in town" she said before leaving them alone

Cindy turned around when the doors opened again and fiddled with the bracelet on her wrist.
