"Or burning lots of calories makes it harder to focus on anything besides replenishing. Perhaps short breaks with snacks throughout training would help? In groups so that there isn't a gap but everyone rotates shorter breaks?"

It took her a few minutes to adjust but once she did she proved to be an excellent marksmen, even though she preferred her normal weapons she was trained with many in mind.
