Alice sat in the darkness hunched into a corner, her hands clamped over her ears to mask the screams of her family and friends. She didn't understand what was happening and who...or what these people were. Blood pooled through the gap in the wall where she was shoved and hidden in the middle of the conflict though she was already coated in blood. She didnt move and inch until she heard nothing but silence.

Makoto arrived to find a bloodbath and sighed sadly as she began to go through the wreckage and carnage to find any survivors or a sign that anyone had even been taken alive. Every so often she let out a wave of energy, trying to sense anyone nearby until she found a sign of life, hidden away.
She made her way over to a wall, managing to find a gap in it and pulled the rest back. "Hello? I'm here to help."

Her eyes went wide and she pressed herself harder into the corner, her hair was all matted with blood and she was shaking.

She sighed. "No. They weren't. They were demons and they've been enslaving or slaughtering humans for quite some time now."
She tilted her head in confusion. "How is it that you do no know what they are? Where have you been?"

"Let's get you cleaned up, maybe we'll have a better idea afterwards." She led her outside of the area to a stream for he to clean off in and pulled a bag out of a tree hole nearby with some clean clothes.
