"That vampire king I told you about, Dmitri is his name. He didn't take her most recent rejection letter well it would seem. They fight like this once in a while but eventually work things out, though given the circumstances of this fight it is hard to tell if they'll work it out or not."

Grace looked up at him "he called us pets."
James sighed leaning against the wall pretty sure this guy had wanted to kill him just now.

"That is all humans are to him." He sighed.
"Just there to feed off of and torment if he's bored."
There were a few more crashes and booms of thunder from lightning with one loud crash before the sounds began to be a little more distant, outside now.
"I should go help her run him off. It's started raining and that is going to make things harder for Emily without me."

Grace clutched his jacket tighter but James pulled her away from him "we will stay here"

"We will be right back. No need to worry, though there might need to be some parts of the ground that will need to be replaced. This will be quick."
He went back through the throne room that was now missing a wall and not more than five minutes later the two both returned though Emily appeared to be holding her left arm in place. She wouldn't tell them but it had been torn off.
"I am seriously going to kill that guy if he shows his face here again," she grumbled.

"Are you okay?" James asked seeing how she was holding her arm as grace was pretty quickly next to drake making sure he was alright

"Dmitri ripped off her arm. Feeding will help her heal faster." Drake replied.

Grace looked over wide eyed "w-what!" She was really pale now
"Grace, relax don't freak out" james said worries she was gonna get sick

"I'll be fine. Drake can you take Grace to the kitchen to get her some water before she get's sick?" Emily replied. He nodded and put an arm around her while Emily headed to her own room.

"Don't worry, it heals pretty quickly, she will be okay. At least when she's actually keeping up with feeding."
"I will be. He won't be if she shows up again." She grumbled while sitting on her bed.
