"God where did you find this guy? Volunteering at a nursing home or something?" Emily asked Drake as she took another step back, his scent getting a little stronger.
"Close, the two were helping an elderly woman who was hurt by a jerk." He replied and walked over to James.
"Don't be offended, kindness is her affinity and you're probably one of the few who emits it so strongly and Emily gets irritable when she fights to hold the thirst back."

He was confused on what she meant by that but decided not to ask as she stuffed his hands in his pockets "well have a nice day," he said turning in the direction grace had went to leave "oh, and I've been fed off of before...kids where grace and i come from are lucky not to have been"

Emily ignored him, "Look the point is that there are vampires out there who would take advantage of such kindness and you should be more careful of that before making offers like that. I appreciate it, but you should get to know someone better to be sure that it really is something you are okay with. Take advantage of the fact that you have the choice instead of when you were a kid being forced to."
