"I've never met her so I assume not. You've just never mentioned her before so I was curious but you're avoiding answering anything really and that makes me more curious y'know? Is she a suitor or something?" She asked, falling to the original idea when she first heard about it. Really she just wanted to hear him say it to her instead of hearing it from a servant of who she was.

He stopped for a moment "no paisley is a concubine, one of which my father gave me when they arrived here" he said watching her expression carefully "she thinks higher of herself though asking for me rather than waiting til I call for her or something "

"I don't know if I would say that but it was another one of those reminders that I really don't belong here. Things like concubines just isn't normal at all where I'm from. At least not anymore in most places and isn't a concept I've ever agreed with because in most cases it just gives hopeful women false hope of being chosen as wife and then the wife is treated poorly and feels scorned because it isn't like the concubines go away or anything and in the end none of them are really happy. Not that their happiness is ever considered in such situations anyways."

"I said in most cases. That is only the ones I've ever heard about. I don't know anything about you or her really. Maybe you and any concubines you have are perfectly happy with the arrangement, if so then all power to you. Regardless it is something I certainly couldn't deal with if I wanted to marry someone who had other women at their beck and call like that. Just one of those cultural differences that came to my attention and all you know? It isn't something you need to get worked up about."
