"I wouldn't really say that, more of I just don't belong here. I've already caused a lot of trouble as is and can't blend in very well. I just grew up completely different and am not willing to fold to archaic gendered expectations. For better or worse though the only other chance back has passed now and that was a long shot anyways," she replied, managing a shrug.
"You're stuck with me. At least until I heal up, then I'll get out of your hair and find something useful to do with my life here...until the church decides I'm a witch," she chuckled at the darker joke.

"So you want to and plan to leave after you heal up?" He asked not really wanting her to leave but he wasn't about to admit that.
She wasn't willing to deal with the archaic ways of the castle and he wouldn't put her through that and make her unhappy.

She chuckled, "maybe you're right though destiny never seemed to pay me any mind before coming here. I always felt that there was no predetermined destiny or anything like that. I always saw the world as being chaos and we made our own destiny and plans."
