Zale shot Cassandra a look obviously not happy with her calling him out on anything and he saw her as nothing but a servant

"What?" He grumbled knowing he was going to get an earful about it later
"We will talk about it later" merrick said before looking to Cassandra "Cassandra? im assuming if I was told correctly "

She just shrugged at the look he gave her.

"Its nice to meet you as well miss Cassandra" he said feeling he should address her as well as she was important to Ana.
Zale watched his brother as he looked back at Ana "your parents are around somewhere? Do you happen to know where?"

"They should be returning in a minute, they went to take care of something else but were planning to be back when you arrived," Ana explained.
Right on cue the two swam into the room to greet him, "welcome!"

He turned and smiled at them both "thank you, it's wonderful to see the two of you again. It's been a while I hope you are both well"
Zale said nothing as he stayed next to Ana but looked visibly annoyed by his brother, perfect and charming Merrik.
"If he was so into good relations why isn't he the one getting married." he said quietly that only the two of them would hear it

"Have you asked him? Perhaps he just holds his duties over that. My parents told me how hard it can be to be a leader and have a strong marriage. It is something not many mermaids would want to compete with despite the status that comes with it."

"My brother isn't much of a talker"zale said looking over at her "out of the two of us the settling down things his speed not mine. This is just his way of trying to put a leash on me which if I'm being honest won't work "

"No point, he's the king brother or not I do what he says" Zale said looking back as merrik looked at him
"Everything alright?"
"Yeah, Everything's fine" Zale said returning to the tone he used the first time he spoke around her parents

Merrik looked at Ana for a moment and smiled before returning his attention to her parents "I knew you had said she was beautiful but I feel that was almost an understatement." He said smiling "looks just like her mother I'd say"
"Suck up, he's right but still" Zale grumbled looking out the window to the side of them

The window look out into the open waters though there was a garden of bioluminecent plants off to one side.
Ana was beginning to feel uncomfortable by the tense attitude Zale had towards his brother.

It had been getting later and the plants glowed brighter in the night. Zale didnt say a word more in his brothers presence unless spoken too

"Well dinner will be served in a few hours, you're welcome to make yourselves at home, I'm sure you all are tired from your trip," her parents added.
"Come on Ana, there is still a few more things on your list for the day," Cass spoke up.
"Right, it was nice to meet you both, I hope you enjoy your visit and let me know if you need anything," Ana gave another bow before the two swam off out a doorway leading outside of the castle so that they could finish the work for the day.
"Apologies Prince Zale, Ana has been learning new duties so has had less time than usual the past couple of weeks."

Zale looked over with a smile "Its no problem, duties are important" he replied as he noticed merrik watching Ana leave for a little longer than usual before he turned his attention back to everyone else
