As she flew back towards Jake's houset o check on Hailey she almost flew into a young man with dark hair and equally dark wings who was also watching the two go home.
"Luke." She said meancingly.
He turned to face her, "Ah hello Beth, what are you doing here?"
"I should be asking you that." She answered.

Jake laughed as Hailey did some funny dance thing like the teacher did while trying to get the spider off

"Heard about the spirit given the chance to stay among the living wanted to see what all the fus was about." He siad shrugging.
"Stay away from her, she and her brother don't need anyone bothering them, it's bad enough that death has already separated them." She snapped and her scythe appeared while he held a sword in his hand.

Jake was inside and Hailey went back outside to look around again, that's when she saw them

"I have to watch over her so she doesn't fade forever." She said quietly.
"Why don't you just get Tanjiro to do that? They don't need Death herself around them as a constant reminder." He said. She looked away.

"You must be Hailey, you're cuter than I thought, maybe the trip was worth it." He said. Beth jumped between them and said, "This is Luke, a fallen angel on Satan's side, he's bad news."
"You're being awfully rude, not even introducing us properly. Geez you'd think Death would be a little more polite, I guess you're just like everyone says cold and heartless." Luke said.
She grew silent.

"It's not mean if it's true, Beth here probably doesn't even care, watching you is probably just another task God added to her burden of ferrying people to heaven or hell." He said.
"It is not a burden and even Death has a heart!" She shouted at him swinging her scythe at him. He deflected it and the two were in full combat,

(jake should come out to find out what was going on and Luke would be taunting Beth again and that's how he finds out that she's Death)
She ducked to avoid the sword and swung her scythe and he jumped to aviod it, he was the only one who was not intimidated by her because he grew up with her before she even became Death so he knew exactly which buttons to push with her.

"You might as well just leave, let another angel keep an eye on Hailey all you're ever going to do is hurt them since, well of course since Death separated them why would they want Death herself watching over them? I mean it's kind of ironic to me." Luke continued.
"Shut up!" She snapped, angry now.
