History: When she turned 13 her adoptive parents told her about the fact that she actually wasn’t born on Earth but she and her real parents had crash-landed on Earth and her adoptive parents had sworn to take care of her and raise her as their own before her real parents died from the crash. While it is often a natural thing for humans to fear the dark, it is a natural thing for her and her people to fear the light.
