he relaxed at Caseys touch and his look softened when he looked at his little sister sitting there stating at her hands "I'm sorry jasper..."

Jasper looked at him then at his sister who still hadent looked up
"Hailey bear" he said kneeling down in front of her
"you haven't called me that since I was six" she said with a short laugh and he smiled
"I won't let anyone hurt you again okay I already lost mom I can't lose you too. understand?"
She just nodded and he kissed her forehead "good, next boy that hurts you is becoming a women"

Robert was tempted to comment on the fact that just by removing something like that would make them a woman but decided against it so as to not ruin the moment.
