Casey practically floated as she walked along through the halls, following a servant to one of the sitting rooms a new employee of the palace would be at for her to meet. She had not yet been told that this new person would be her guard.

Jasper didn't sit down, he just stood watching the door with his usual blank expression waiting for her to walk through the door

Casey calmed down a little before going into the sitting room where he and her parents waited.
She smiled in greeting. "Hello!"
"Oh here she is. This is our daughter Cassandra, Cassandra this is Jasper, he will be your guard from now on." The king explained to her.
"Ah, okay. I don't really know why I would need a guard, but it is nice to meet you all the same, Jasper." She replied brightly.

"You can just call me Casey." She replied with a smile.
"We will have someone show you to your room. Would you like a tour? I'm sure it would be a good way for you two to become aquainted." The queen suggested.

"If you believe that is a good idea sir I suppose a tour would be alright" he said even though he'd completely learned the castle without them knowing

Casey turned her parents to find out why she suddenly had a guard but all they said was that they feared for her safety at the moment. For now she accepted that answer but knew something else was up.
She went back to her room after that.
