She shrugged. "Looking at how things are, most of the things we could surprise you men with would not be acceptable."
"Well I should be on my way, those errands are not going to run themselves unfortunately."

"We'll see. A pleasure talking to you." She replied with a curtly and went on her way again, easily weaving through the crowd.

The next day or two they did not have any trouble in their divide plan, both for their real plans and the cover market they had though their third day Chris ran into some trouble.
She was making her last stop in purchasing food and things herself after she had closed down her own stand and made her way back through the city to head home as the sun set and shadows cast over most of the streets. The lamps were already lit for the evening but they did not offer a whole lot of light and she was being followed.
Chris felt that something was off and pretended that she was unaware until the time was right, she could not very well be seen fighting someone.

Jasper wandered through the town near the wall making sure guards were on rounds

She took a second to glance back to find that it was a guard, she wasn't sure if they were following or making rounds but still didn't care to be around them. As she took the road along the palace wall she was stopped by another guard ahead of her.
"It's getting late miss, what are you doing out alone like this?" He remarked. She could hear the other guard catching up.
"Just going home is all." She replied.
"Why don't we walk you home? Pretty little thing out here on your own? It's not safe." The guard behind her asked and was standing too close for anyone's comfort, not to mention she smelled alcohol on him.
"I thank you for the kind offer sirs but I do not live far. Have a good night." She replied and a strong hand wrapped around her arm, pulling her back.
"Let us walk you home, it would be wrong of us to leave you alone."

"I suggest letting go of her" Jasper said from behind the two, he sounded annoyed and angry at the same time

They let go and took a step back. "Right. Of course."
She glanced over at him but stayed quiet for the time being.

"I expect to see you two back at the castle, drinking while your supposed to be on patrol is forbidden and you should be fully aware of that and it's penalties" he said before looking over at her "are you alright?"

She nodded. "Yes...thank you."
That was lucky....but I do keep running into this guard, that could be bad. She thought, her paranoia kicking in that he could be getting suspicious. She shoved the thoughts from her mind for now, to stay focused.
The two guards trudged away.

"You do not need to trouble yourself, it really is not far, only a few blocks that way." Chris replied with a polite smile while pointing down the road to the right of her.
