He just nodded and looked to Louis with a 'well I tried ' look just to keep up the appearance that he was looking out for him and not the other way around

As the night went on Olivia was given permission to mingle so she made small talk once in a while with others and felt a little bit of happiness as she did, it had been a while since she was able to really socialize.

He kept an eye on her every so often as he spoke to those around him about upcoming plans of festivals they have planned and other political moves his people planned to make. He found ot boring but answered as much as he had to

She had only one other dance and that was with Louis and though she tried to look happier it was forced so that he wouldn't get angry with her.

Jack stayed to the side sipping his drink watching the others and sighed, he could tell she wasn't happy and he knew from the moment he saw her that he wanted her, that he was having a love at first sight feeling and it pissed him off

Many of the guests began to leave other than some of the court and a few guests like Jackson who were allies. At this point Louis had had a few more drinks than he should have and was being pretty loud and vulgar with a few of the court he was buddies with.

Jackson sighed and walked over to him "okay Louis last time you drank this much you almost jumped off the balcony it's the fountain...maybe take it easy?" He warned worried about what he may do to oliva in this state.

"Yes, yes you're right. I'll be stopping for the night anyhow." He chuckled. "Thank you for looking out my boy, you are such a helpful and generous man. I'd love to return the favor with all that our lands have accomplished in the past and such a generous gift to my wife. it would be the least I could do."

"W-what?" Olivia asked in surprise.
Louis laughed, still in his drunken state and not thinking clearly at all and he had witnesses to the deceleration as well. "By all means, take her, she's barren though, hasn't produced a single heir for me so only use you'll have her for is sex, not that it isn't nice with such a beauty, but generally useless other than that."
Olivia looked away in both embarrassment and shame.
