Rae sat with Nico in the locker room of the underground arena, treating his injuries as usual, though had another win an enough money to keep them going for a few weeks along with what she gets for odd jobs.
After he collected the reward they headed home, a small shack by the river they had slowly been fixing up.

Once they would get home an envelope addressed to him would be sitting on the table, the red calling card of the mob stamped upon the front. Over the past month the mob boss had sent his children to watch what he was capable. Getting nothing but good feed back he wanted him, and offered a pretty good incentive to do so

Rae read over his shoulder as he read it as well. Nico was quiet as he did.
"No, that is a bad idea, you don't need to be getting mixed up in the mob." She said.
"I didn't plan to. Though you have to admit they know how to present a good offer. But that is a whole different ballgame that we don't need to be getting mixed up in." He agreed and put the letter to the side to respond to later.

Allison and maverick sat back in the chairs of the offices main meeting room
"Why do you want this kid anyways?" Maverick asked as his father was looking over papers
" good fighter, possibly desperate due to the current state if them"
"And hes cute" alli piped in getting a sigh from her father
Maverick say back looking over the information they had on him"What if he rejects the offer?"
"First we send a pretty face to convince him" he said motioning to his daughter "if that fails, well we kidnap that girl he calls a sister "

The next day he left his reply where instructed, thanking them for the offer but respectfully rejecting it before the two went to do some grocery shopping and other chores like rounding up fire wood for the stove as it would be getting colder in the next few days.

Allison was sent to "accidentally" run into them in the store. She dressed up in an adorably innocent light pink skirt with white tights and a pale blue turtleneck and pink blazer that matched the skirt and some heels.
She was looking at things behind them when she backed into him dropping the few things she had in her hands "o-oh I'm sorry that was clumsy of me" she said bending down to pick them up

"It's alright." Nico replied and helped her pick her things up.
He and Rae were both suspicious of her wording, living on the streets they learned how to recognize normal conversation, they had never heard anyone other than old ladies use such a phrasing as 'how clumsy of me.'
"Are you hurt or anything?" Rae asked, wanting to at least be sure of that before they went on their way.

"Oh I'm alright, just embarrassed is all nothing new" she said standing back up again, pushing her hair behind her ear, her cheeks obviously a little pink which was easy to see on her pale skin "I really am sorry, my ability to sense people near by is severely lacking"

She smiled and looked to rae then back to him "is this your girlfriend?" She asked with a curious expression, obviously she was pushing as she was interested in him and as a way to possibly get closer and convince him

"If you mean friend that is a girl then yes, but if you mean romance then no. We're more like siblings." He replied.
"Well sorry to cut things short but we need to get these groceries home. I'm Nico and this is Rae by the way. Maybe we will see you around sometime."

Maverick grabbed his sisters arm pulling her out of the store "owwie mav" she whined as they got to the door

They heard litt the door themselves after paying, talking about dinner mostly as they made their way back home.
