He was surprised by the cat as well as by her answer "I come from a prison and you think I wont hurt you? How can you be so sure of such a thing?"

"I am aware but you're also an, I assume, escaped prisoner who has yet to prove a threat to me so I would say you could be strange yourself, usually escaped convicts would be violent."

"Hm...I wouldn't completely say for no reason at all, but perhaps the reason is something not really deserving of long prison time. Either way as we both know you are not dangerous to me." She shrugged and finished setting the table for them before sitting down herself.

"Well if you were a danger to me then you would see a side of me that isn't so calm...assuming you got this close to the house. Also when I was younger I had been locked up myself and when I escaped I was fortunate enough to meet some kind people who asked little questions and were helpful and kind just because they wanted to be even though they didn't know me or care about what the consequences might be if they did help. I decided I wanted to be that kind of person for others who deserved it, it really isn't anything very complicated." She shrugged, leaning back in her seat.
