He looked over at Elijah came back, he was panting and covered in blood but it wasn't his own
'All taken care of'
'Good, from now on we have patrols more often. If this happens again those on patrol are dead' Maverick said with a huff before looking to hunter again and gently nudging her in the direction of the house.
He'd offer her a ride but he knew she wouldn't take it

She walked in the direction of the house after slinging her bow back over her head to rest across her.

He padded along beside her with a bit more pep in his step
'Your prancing like a pup' Elijah pointed out and Maverick growled at him
'Shut up, don't make me hurt you for being annoying'
Elijah put his head down as Maverick just huffed in annoyance

He looked over at her again, when she spoke earlier he had thought she was rejecting him before giving him a chance.but to know she was going to give it her best as she didn't want to hurt him that badly gave him hope

Hunter still had a lot to think about and consider. If she was going to try to compromise with this she needed to figure out exactly what she wanted to maintain on her side. She guessed it would be okay to stay but she wasn't going to ignore a call for help if someone did contact her or she found out something bad was happening elsewhere, but could tell Maverick was already pretty protective and likely wouldn't easily be okay with her running off on a trip to help or fight other supernatural beings too often. That would pose some conflict between them.

Once back Alex looked worried upon seeing all the blood on Elijah but relaxed as she notices he was alright.
"Everything okay?" She asked looking to hunter
