She had already gotten up and made her way out of the room and back the way they had come to go outside, not caring about whatever they were trying to decide.

Maverick had gotten up to follow her but Elijah stopped him "don't, Your just going to freak her out" he said as Alex went after her to make sure she made it outside okay

Hunter was already out of sight by the time Alex would have made it out of the building, on the closest trail and running until she found a good tree and climbed up high, stopping when she overlooked most of the tree cover of the forest.

Alex sighed and shook her head knowing she wouldn't catch her anyways, she was worried about Maverick. Yeah he was a tough guy and took shit from no one but if this girl rejected him it would kill him.

She took a few deep breaths to calm down, squeezing a rough branch in her hand to help ground herself again before relaxing, leaning against the trunk of the tree and staring off over the treetops.
"This sucks," she muttered, "what am I suppose to do about this?"

Maverick paced back in forth by the front doors as Elijah leaned against the door watching him.
"You need to calm down a little" Elijah said and Maverick shot him a glare which he looked down to avoid
"I should go find her"
"She's plenty capable as we had seen today of defending herself."
"Will you shut up Elijah" he ordered and Elijah immediately shut up and stuffed his hands in his pockets looking out the front windows

While in the trees she heard familiar growling from below and climbed down a little more to see a group of wolves, she assumed were rogue, at the group and looking up at her.
"This is a bad time, so can you just go back home or whatever and come back later?"
The response told her that the answer was no, she only had a few knives and her bow on her at the present time and maybe just enough arrows for each one.

He felt the hair prick up on the back of his neck "somethings not right, she's not okay" he said before shifting and taking off into the woods.
"Great, here we go" Elijah said sighing and taking off after Maverick. As Maverick picked up her scent and tracked it, but when the wind blew the scent of unfamiliar wolves he growled and ran faster towards where it was strongest

She shot two through the eye, easy enough with them snapping from below but the other three learned and stayed back in what they thought was out of range and circled the tree.
"Alright I've had about enough of you guys, I just got clean and I don't want to come down and get covered in blood again today so I'm going to speed this along," she growled in annoyance and managed to get another before adding a makeshift explosion to another arrow and fired at the closest, it injured the other two and they ran away.
She climbed down from the tree and heard the footsteps rushing at her from behind and whirled around hit them with her bow.

Maverick moved back slightly at the impact and let out a slight groan like sound shaking his head as Elijah continued past him after the ones who had fled
Maverick looked her over briefly for injuries and was ready to kill evey Rouge himself if he saw one injury

"Maverick? Oh damn, I'm sorry. Here, hold still okay?"
She pulled out a small cloth and bottle, pouring some liquid on it and gently dabbed at where she hit him, one hand resting on his head so he would stay still.
Her bow was lined with pure silver, werewolves weren't the only beings harmed by it but she had an ointment to clear the effects away before and after it did take effect.

He just stood there still as she cleaned him up. Even though that hurt like a bitch when he started to clean him up he was pretty happy with her touching him
He did grumble slightly at the slight pain though

She sighed, "look, I get that this whole 'mate' stuff is a really big deal for you guys and I don't know exactly what constitutes as 'rejection' and what not as far as being affected by it so I'll apologize in advance if anything I say or do constitutes as such and you're hurt. You just have to understand that communities, staying in one place for very long and relationships outside of casual friends is not generally my thing. I'm not good with things like that and to be honest I believe you got a serious short end of the stick in ending up with me as your mate. But like it or not you're stuck with me it seems and I don't want you to be hurt by it so I am open in getting to know you and trying to find some kind of compromise that works for both of us."

He let out a big breath and as involuntary as ever when they were happy or excited his tail began to wag like a stupid dog

"There, that should do it," she pulled back after finishing cleaning where the silver had touched him and put her things into the bag she had on her.
