He went back to painting and did end up just falling asleep in there

Astrid was up early and decided to go out to take a walk though noticed a light on in the study, poking her head in to see that he had fallen asleep. She picked up a blanket and dropped it over him before resuming her direction to the door leading outside to walk around for a bit.

He moved slightly, he'd been up the whole night painting a picture of the gardens right outside the window lit up by the light of the moon. 9 hours of work as he had just fell asleep
