he arranged for a maid to go up around dinnertime and ask her what she'd like

She turned and opened the door after beginning to unpack.

the girl curtsied and smiled "good evening your highness I came to ask what you'd like to eat for dinner"

[***Stormchaser***]

"Oh. Um.... I am not sure. Anything that is already being made I suppose. " she said, confused. Things had always been decided for her. Having a choice was new."

[~Amber~]

"Well typically we have a pasta and also have steak wnd chicken prepared as well it's whatever you'd like your highness "

[***Stormchaser***]

"Oh, um the chicken sounds okay then." She replied, unsure of what she wanted.

[~Amber~]

she smiled "alright I will have that back shortly. would you like anything particular to drink?"

[***Stormchaser***]

"Water is fine."

[~Amber~]

she curtsied and headed out the door bringing her food back quickly "so your betrothed to the prince miss?"

[***Stormchaser***]

She nodded. "It would seem so, yes."

[~Amber~]

"Well your a very lucky lady he's so handsome" she said setting her tray on the table in the room

[***Stormchaser***]

"I only just met him." She replied. "Handsome or not, I have met plenty handsome men who were not nice in the end."

[~Amber~]

"Well you have no need to worry about the prince, he can barely talk to women and is very sweet unless he's angry. now the king...that's a different story"

[***Stormchaser***]

She nodded in understanding though was not sure what to say

"Well I'm your maid Karen if you need anything im usually not to far away"
