Gavin and Aila parted ways and sent elsewhere. It had only been anout two months since their home fell and they were only permitted to see one another every few days and under heavy watch.
Gavin could clearly see the effects the iron cuffs had on his sister, making painful red marks on her skin just by being in contact with it though she hadn't said anything about it. He sighed and returned to the training grounds while Aila went back into the castle for whatever awaited her this time.

the twins walked up the castle steps looking around "what did he do this time?" Kane said looking around at some newer slaves to the castle and his sister Elliana ,who he typically just called ellie,shrugged "probably took another kingdom as usual....is he done with that tyrant phase yet?"
Kane chuckled "it's only just began"
"That's not what answer I hoped for"

Despite it being almost two months the two had not ever met the prince and princess if this kingdom, though neither cared to either but knew they would eventually.
It would be very soon now that the two had returned home, Aila was to be gifted to Kane for any service and Gavin was put onto the guard team to protect Elliana as well as provide any requested service.
Just my luck, have to keep the princess of this wretched place safe and happy to ensure the safety of my own sister. Gavin thought sourly once he had been given the news.

Kane walked along with his sister, the two were trailing along the grounds and passed the training. Eliana stopped and looked with a giggle as one of the guards who always had a crush on her stumbled in surprise to see her. "hi Roddick, still clumsy?" She asked as he bowed blushing red "a-ah well not usually no"
"leave him be Eliana" Kane grumbled annoyed by the boy

Once the prince and princesses arrived to meet the king the two were summoned as well, mostly so that Kane and Eliana would be aware of the change and where the two had come from.

Kane looked confused when the two walked in but went stone faced when he heard his sister giggle, obviously because of the boy.
"What's this about father?" he ask, alresdy irritataed

"New slaves. The former heirs in the land of magic that is now ours. He is for you Elliana primarily a guard but to serve or do as you will. And you, Kane, will have a new servant in this beauty here. Or do with what you will, I don't really care. She is weakened with iron so I would leave it on at all times and he will stay in line for her safety.
They have great magic that will be useful." He replied.

Kane snorted obviously not amused, and Eliana walked down to them "she pretty, too pretty for Kane...what's your name?

Aila didn't want to answer, she didn't want to talk to any of them but got a nudge from her brother.
"Aila." She replied grudgingly and nudged her brother back to also answer. "Gavin."
"I would recommend making use of their blood as well. It will greatly increase your strength and health." The king remarked.

Kane said nothing and just walked out. Eliana sighed but them smiled again "don't mind him he's not good with new people. well uhm...thanks daddy we will be going now" she said hopping to the door

Neither of them responded and were sent back to their duties with Gavin on the training grounds again and Aila cleaning bedrooms for the time being.

"Why does he do this Stuff I don't want the girl" Kane said and Eliana shrugged "I don't know, but she's pretty and he's cute maybe dad's thinking of the future" she said giggling and he rolled his eyes "nope not happening"

Aila cleaned up along the hall and occasionally shifted the cuffs to ease some of the pain before starting back up again.

Kane disappeared outside but Eliana walked along the hall and saw her shift those and stopped "does it hurt...I have something to help if you'll let me that is"

She glanced up and then looked back at the cuffs.
"It won't help for long. It's a magical weakness, as long as it is in contact with me it does this until it is removed. No point in trying, Your Majesty." She answered and showed her where the iron had hurt her hand when she was shifting it a moment ago as it was fading.
