"it's Eliana you don't have to call me that" she said sighing "and my father put these in you why? must be another reason besides restrictions on magic "

"Why else? Your father killed my parents, devastated my people and took over my home as well as taking any survivors prisoner for service or slave work. If I were free then my brother and I would fight back." She answered, surprised by the question. To be honest they would likely level the entire capitol, but of course did not go so far as to say that. "It keeps me from using my magic and keeps me relatively weak in terms of physical strength. I could barely hold my own against a human, let alone vampires."

"And that's how he keeps Gavin in line as well right?" she sighed looking out the window "I can tell you one thing, my father gave you to my brother but he won't bother you unless he wants someone to talk to which is rare. and no one will harm you unless they want to get killed he's very protective but I can see your used to that with your brother as well right? " she smiled a little "I do hate the fact my father is doing this I don't feel right having someone given to me when I know if he had a chance he'd kill me or being given given anyone at all its not right"

"Regarding the someone harming me, too late for that, but I don't see why your brother would care unless he is possessive." She replied. "As for my brother, he may be serving you only grudgingly, but he would not harm you unless you gave him reason to. As for the rest of your people involved? I couldn't say the same thing."
Gavin was fighting multiple guards on the training grounds, his weapons constantly changing to fit what he needed and even flying through the air as it was needed. He was not allowed rest until he had beat anyone who challenged him or collapsed, though he didn't care much, fighting gave him something to do to keep his own emotions in check, though once he saw Kane coming outside some anger flared.

"Well I meant it by they won't hurt you anymore if they have..." she said sighing "if I may ask how old is your brother?"
Kane looked over at him and raised and eyebrow seeing his expression

She was caught off guard by the question. "Twenty-one."
Gavin looked away and continued fighting until he won, though exhausted he was feeling better, at least a little bit in terms of emotionally. Once he was told that he could go he disappeared to go get cleaned up before meeting the other guard who was over watching the princess.

"I'm sorry. He glares most of the time, please do not take offense of it." Aila said quickly.

"it's probably because my dad giving you to him he doesn't like it" Eliana said with a shrug

She did not answer, she knew that that was exactly the reason, but didn't want Gavin to get into trouble, besides it was common for him to glare these days.

She shrugged, though wasn't sure what to say about it. "I should finish my chores."

Gavin was given the first shift of the new rotation, taking on evening through to the morning and stood by the gardens.
Aila finished up her usual chores and sent to bring letters to Kane.

Eliana pulled out a rose from the flowers and looked up at him "this reminds me of your sister, she's beautiful but strong. I can tell. I like to compare the flowers to people usually it's easy but you...it's much harder"
Kane heard the knock and didn't look up from his papers "you may come in its open "
