And as if knowing he was getting talked about cal walked around the corner with his hands in his pockets shaking the snow pit of his hair, not like you could really see the snow that ended up there from him falling asleep but he could sure feel it

"Oh, there he is now." She pointed and started yelling and waving, "Hi!"
Abby jumped up from where she was sitting and ran over to him. "You're still out here? Aren't you cold?"
Cora got up and followed her over, standing by the fence of the park.

He chuckled "I've been out in worse weather without a coat" he pulled a hand warmer put of his pocket "and I got these bad boys, filled with lava you know so super toasty" he put one in her hand "see "

"That's not lava." She giggled. "Oh! This is my mommy, she came to get me just after you left." She pulled her mom by the hand closer.
"Hi, Abby was just telling me about how she met you. I'm Cora." Cora replied, holding out a hand politely.

took her hand gently kissing it "now I see why abby is so adorable, gets it from her mother" he gave a small smile then looked back down at abby "and yes it is lava, have you ever opened one huh?"

There was a rip as Abby opened it. "I have now."
"Abigail, you shouldn't just rip open things like that." Cora sighed and knelt to her. "You don't always have to prove yourself right if it causes damage to other people's things."
"I'm sorry sir." Abby said.

"Its fine, can give a little science lesson this way" he knelt beside her as well and dumped a bit of the powder into his hand "so see this black powder stuff inside ? This is a mixture of cellulose, iron, water, activated carbon, vermiculite and salt when together it all produces heat from the exothermic oxidation of the iron when exposed to air when you take it out of the plastic bag it comes in. Pretty cool huh?"
