Overcoming the Darkness

"That is not something I can guarantee, he will try to enslaved or kill us and it isn't just about us. This is something you will need to think about because this is the fate of this world. He won't stop until the whole world is consumed by his rule and darkness," he replied.
"I can teach you how to use your powers in whatever ways you want, it is still light and primarily about healing and life but it has its own destructive side as well for defense."

"Like that one time you blinded that guy"
She sighed twirling her fork on the plate "I try not to remember that but yeah"

"View it like keeping him from hurting everyone else, he's been hurting and killing people for a hundred years," Nova said.

[~Amber~]

"I know, can we just talk about something else. Like can you turn into anything? Like a fluffy pale pink bunny?"
Enzo sighed "your still hung up on that rabbit toy aren't you?"

[***Stormchaser***]

She shrugged and did so, changing into a pink bunny, sitting on the table.

[~Amber~]

"Oh so cute. You are so cool!"

Enzo sighed "anyways, when can you start showing her how to use her ability on purpose rather then accidentally "

"I can do that whenever she's ready," he shrugged.
Nova changed into another cute animal for her though this time in blue.

[~Amber~]

"The sooner the better, it's almost made it to this town. If it makes it past the mountains it's pretty much over at that rate"

She smiled "do you have a favorite thing to be??"

[***Stormchaser***]

"I know better than anyone the devastation that madman can cause. Our group had been building the defenses of this area the past year or so to help slow him down while I worked on my own powers. I didn't know there was some special prophecy and I was beginning to give up on the idea that the Light would find a new family line for hosting so I had been preparing to end this on my own."

Nova smirked and changed into a big blue shark.
"I can still use my lungs like this, so it's fun to be sea creatures without dying," she snapped her jaws playfully a few times.

"We had started hearing it lately and even more so had given me a reason to have bell hide what she can do. The more it got out the more they'd look for her"

She about fell put of her chair "that's awesome!"

[***Stormchaser***]

"Can't hide that. The kind of powers we all have you can't hide. Not for long. They're the primordial forces of nature, if you do, it'll negatively affect you."
He glanced over to now see a big blue shark by the table.
"That's definitely one of the weirdest things I've ever seen."

"Weird maybe, but also awesome!" She gave a large grin full of teeth before shifting back and landing in her chair.
"You're right though. If I don't shift for a while I get this itching sensation in my whole body, in my bones and it gets worse every hour that I don't shift. Seems like Ice Boy here stunted his whole emotional range by sticking with just ice and not anything else."

[~Amber~]

He gave her a blank look "what did you just call me? Ice boy?"
Bell tried to hide her snickers but that was almost impossible, he just sighed
"Its like the horde of butterflies that show up when bells sleeping "

"Yeah, yeah I did. That is the only element you use right?" She asked.

"I wasn't aware of any other I only knew about the water"

[***Stormchaser***]

"That's because different elements are activated and fueled by different feelings. At least according to this book," she changed back to her human form and dug a small book out from her bag and handed it to him.
There was no title but it seemed to have been a journal primarily written by an elemental of the past, hundreds of years ago when the balance of the light and dark was constantly shifting, just after the line of Light began.
