Saints

Stella went into working and sent to two more wings to do a full clean.

Seth had begun to figure out what was going on around him and was thoroughly confused by such a thing appearing now and it seemed to be different from others with magic. People with magic didn't seem to notice that it had suddenly awakened inside of him themselves.

Eden was in her hall messing with the plants making them grow and flower to look healthy and happy as Lazarus watched


Mel saw him and walked up next to him with a smile "hi"

She was assigned to the wings for air and light for the day, going through work though Gertrude had asked about when she had been sent to the training rooms and seemed sour about the lack of anything occurring.

"Oh, hello." He said.

Stark noticed her but didnt say anything Just walked past her without a word


"Would you like a treat?" She asked holding up her basket with a little smile

She was glad to be left alone to work.

He was surprised to see treats. "How did you manage to get something like that?"

[~Amber~]

Mel smiled at him "not all magic users are awful you know, Some actually care" she handed him one "thanks again, for yesterday, you didnt have to defend me like that"

Stella went through the rest of her day as normal and was glad to have been left alone. She checked to make sure others were okay on their work before leaving and going to the forest to gather some food or herbs to trade, finally glad to have a little food again and made a small meal for herself after skipping almost two days.

He chuckled at that. "If they really cared then they would do something about it, not sit by passively just because it isn't a popular opinion. Innocent people are miserable, mangled and murdered for something they can't help. We aren't lesser for it and honestly people with magic get too comfortable using it. They wouldn't know how to do anything without it."
He sighed. "Sorry. That was a lot of unloading, it isn't very often any of us can talk about this stuff without the wrong people hearing and getting us killed for it."

[~Amber~]

"No dont appologize it's okay" she said shaking her head "I really needed to hear that, no one ever tells me how they feel about this because they are afraid"

Lazarus found himself wandering again and without thinking found himself near mel. He stopped obviously knowing it was her he had a normal cloak on not the one he usually wore so he qasnt as easily noticed this time

He tilted his head to the side in confusion. "Why would they be afraid?"

After eating Stella went out into the village to check in on a few who she knew needed some help to see if they still needed it, but one one did so she decided to take a walk along a forest trail despite it getting dark and it already being dark in the trees.

She stopped herself for a moment "oh um you know like what you said, afraid the wrong people will hear you or something. This stuff isnt discussed in the temple"


Lazarus rolled his eyes and then noticed stella and decided to follow her

He wasn't sure how much sense that made but let it go for the time being. "True, no poor soul forced to work there would say anything, they would probably be killed on the spot for it."

She walked along the trails she knew well, trying to get sleepy since she slept more than usual the day before, though had the feeling that she was being watched and looked around.

She looked down "not always. The saints aren't all that bad a few of them do care about those around them, like with the well they fixed that when they didnt have to"


He chuckled and made the shadows pool around her and play tricks on her mind. Testing her as she said she wasn't afraid of the dark he wanted to see if that was a lie

"Fixing a well that barely gets water to those people as is, polluted water at that. Yes, very saintlike." He replied sourly. "They don't care enough to make change. They sit there while innocent people are sentenced to death for nothing or tortured for fun and anyone else treated like they don't deserve to live and be treated fairly."
It is going to come back for them though. Once I figure this magic stuff out, I'll make sure those saints will pay for everything they've done. At least the ones who stand in the way. He thought.

As she noticed a change she was initially a little startled, but refocused on where she was going, having an idea in what was going on but decided to see how long this would last.

She didnt look up, she could feel the tears welling up in her eyes. He hates her, he absolutely hates her and he should, she was awful. "i-i see....I'm sorry for causing you so much trouble you wont have to see me again" she said turning to leave. She could feel herself trembling, why did she care so much about he felt about her? Why did she fell her heart beat faster whenever he looked at her with those beautiful blue eyes.

He sat in a tree above her "what exactly are you doing out here? Isnt it dangerous in the woods alone?"

"Hey wait what are you talking about? You haven't caused me any trouble. I'm sorry, I really did unload too much, I didn't mean to disregard what you had said. You are right I'm sure there are good people among the bad. I guess i'm just frustrated, continuing to see people suffer for the sake of others to feel superior." He rained a hand through his hair with a sigh.

"That depends on what someone considers dangerous. I am out here to take a walk. "
